Tax

Before we can apply additional tax, we need to setup the following:

• Create tax config in Tax & Payment screen
• Apply Tax to appropriate products in Edit Menu screen

Create Tax Configuration

1. Go to Settings
2. Select Tax & Payment
3. Select Autofill tax by region
4. In the Select Area input, select Quebec (with additional taxes)
5. Click on Add
6. The new tax configuration will be added to the list

This will added the following taxes to the system:

• Hôtellerie: Extra 3.5% tax on lodging
• Boisson alcoolisée (taxes incluses): Special tax on alcoholic beverages, included in the price

Those additional taxes are for testing purposes only and may not be accurate. It will be up to the mandatary to provide the correct tax rates.
